GivingMaties is Stellenbosch University's annual fundraising campaign, uniting the entire Matie network – students, staff, alumni, parents, and friends – in support of student success. It's a season of giving and celebration, designed to raise vital funds for BridgeTheGap, Stellenbosch University's annual fund.
BridgeTheGap is Stellenbosch University's annual fund, supporting critical student needs. Your generosity helps us bridge the gap between students' aspirations and the resources they need to thrive. Through GivingMaties, we strive to fundraise for student suppor, so they can succeed academically and personally. Our BTG initiatives are: #Move4Food: Provides emergency food relief to students facing food insecurity. #GradMe: Assists final-year students with the costs associated with completing their studies and graduating. #CaughtInTheMiddle: Supports students who don't qualify for NSFAS funding but still require financial assistance. #EndPeriodPoverty: Ensures that all women students have access to essential sanitary products. #Action4Inclusion: Creates a more equitable and inclusive campus environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. #BridgeTheGap (Unrestricted): Provides flexible funding to address urgent and unforeseen student needs.
